Add a user and share specific GeoTags with them

This tutorial shows you how to add a new user to your GeoTag account and control exactly which trackers, geofences, notifications and groups they can see. Use it for colleagues, clients or contractors who need ongoing access.

Steps

1. Open Settings, then Users.
2. Select the add button and enter the new user's email, name and a password. They can change the password later.
3. Select Save. The new user appears in the Users table.
4. Open the user's connections to decide what they can see.
5. Under GeoTags, pick the trackers to share. Add as many as you need.
6. Under Geofences, pick which boundaries they can view.
7. Under Notifications, pick the alerts they should receive, for example Geofence entered.
8. Under Groups, share a whole group of assets in one step.
9. Back in Users, use sign in as this user to check what they will see.

Good to know

• Give each person only the trackers they need. Use named users rather than shared logins, and remove access when it is no longer needed.
