This tutorial shows you how to set up a geofence around a venue, depot or site, and get an alert the moment a tracker moves in or out. Use it to confirm kit has arrived, or to catch it leaving when it should not.

Steps
- Open Settings, then Geofences.
- Search for the place you want to protect. The map jumps straight to it.
- Select the polygon tool and click to add corners until the zone fits the site. A tighter fence gives sharper alerts.
- Double-click to complete the zone.
- Give it a clear name and any details that make it easy to find later, then Save.
- Open GeoTags, select the tracker and choose this geofence.
- Decide when to be notified: on entering, on leaving, or both. Confirm.
Good to know
- Allow for loading bays and parking areas at the edge of a site, so normal movement does not trigger false alerts.
- Link a Group to the geofence to cover many trackers at once.
