Install GeoTag as an app on your phone, tablet or computer

GeoTag can be installed as an app on your phone, tablet or computer, with no app store needed. Once installed, it opens full screen from its own icon, like any other app.

Time: about 1 minute  ·  Where: the GeoTag sign-in page, or Settings › Account

Android and desktop (Chrome, Edge)

1. Open GeoTag in your browser. A banner invites you to install it.
2. Select Install App and follow the prompt.
3. If you dismissed the banner, you can install later from the Install App button under Settings › Account.

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

1. Open GeoTag in Safari.
2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow).
3. Choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.

Using Chrome, Firefox or Edge on an iPhone or iPad? Open GeoTag in Safari first. iOS only allows app installation through Safari.

What you get

• Full-screen experience: no browser address bar or tabs in the way.
• Home screen icon: launch GeoTag with a single tap.
• Offline notice: if you lose your connection, you see a clear message with a retry button instead of a browser error.
• Automatic updates: the app keeps itself up to date in the background.

Good to know

• You may need to sign in again the first time you open the installed app.
• The installed app uses the same account as the browser version. Nothing changes on your account.
